Whether it’s a favourite shirt, a loved one’s clothing, baby outfits, or another meaningful piece of fabric, your custom memory dog gives those special materials a new purpose.

Each dog is individually handmade, making it as unique as the memories behind it.

Clothing & Fabric Requirements

Your memory dog will be handmade using clothing or fabric you provide.

Minimum clothing requirements:

• Baby clothing: 10 pieces
• Children’s clothing: 8–10 pieces, depending on size
• Adult clothing: 6 garments

Why are multiple garments required?

Each memory dog is created with a patchwork design using different pieces of your treasured clothing. Multiple garments allow me to incorporate a variety of colours, patterns, and meaningful fabrics, making your keepsake truly one of a kind.

These are general guidelines. The amount of usable fabric will depend on garment size, fabric type, condition, and design. It is always better to send more than the minimum required to allow for a greater variety of fabrics and patterns.

Please contact me before shipping your clothing so we can confirm you have enough suitable material for your keepsake.

Only send clothing you are comfortable having permanently cut and transformed into your memory dog.

Unused Clothing, Fabric & Accessories

Your treasured clothing will always be treated with care and respect.

During the creation of your memory dog, some fabric, buttons, zippers, and other clothing components may not be needed.

You can choose what happens to the unused materials:

Return: Have any remaining whole garments, fabric scraps, buttons, zippers, and other unused components returned to you. Additional tracked and insured return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.

Donate: Give permission for suitable leftover materials to be donated.

Dispose: Give permission for remaining materials to be responsibly discarded.

Your materials will never be repurposed into products for resale without your permission.

Please let me know your preference before work begins. If no preference is provided, I will contact you for instructions rather than assume you want anything discarded.

Personalization & Optional Services

Make your memory dog even more special with these optional additions:

Personalized Heart-Shaped Felt Name Tag — $15 CAD

Add a special finishing touch to your memory dog with a handmade, heart-shaped felt name tag.

Each name is lovingly hand-embroidered onto felt, one stitch at a time. The heart is attached to a removable ribbon or lace collar tied at the back of your dog.

• Heart-shaped tags only.
• Maximum 5 letters per name.
• One name per tag.
• Select Add Name Tag when ordering.
• Enter the name exactly as you would like it embroidered in the customization box.

Please double-check spelling before submitting your order.

Clothing Laundering — $15 CAD

If you would like your supplied clothing washed before your keepsake is made, select Add Laundering when ordering.

Clothing will be washed using eco-friendly, dye-free, unscented laundry detergent. Please note that laundering may not be suitable for all fabrics, and any concerns will be discussed before washing.

Want both? You can select both optional services for an additional $30 CAD.

Special Instructions

Use the customization box to provide your name tag wording (if selected) and any special requests. For more detailed instructions or questions about your clothing, please contact me before sending your materials.

Shipping Information

Shipping Your Clothing to Me

Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for tracked and insured shipping of their clothing to me. Please do not send clothing until your order has been placed and you have received shipping instructions.

Canadian Shipping — $36 CAD Flat Rate

Your finished memory dog and any requested leftover clothing or materials will be returned using a Canada Post flat-rate box.

Shipping includes tracking, delivery confirmation, and up to $100 in liability coverage.

United States Shipping

Customers can select one of two flat-rate options at checkout:

• $35 CAD — Finished Keepsake Only: Your completed memory dog, without leftover clothing.
• $42 CAD — Keepsake + Leftover Clothing: Your completed memory dog along with any unused clothing and materials you wish to have returned.

US import duties and applicable taxes are calculated separately at checkout. Orders are shipped using prepaid-duty (DDP) labels through Shopify Shipping.

Important: Please select the shipping option that matches your instructions for unused materials.

All shipping prices are in Canadian dollars. Delivery estimates begin once your completed keepsake has been shipped, not when your order is placed.

Outside the USA or Canada? If you are interested in a custom Memory Bear or Memory Dog please email me to discuss international shipping options and availability.  International orders are considered on a case by case basis :)

Important Information

Memory dogs are decorative keepsakes, not toys, and are not intended for unsupervised children’s play.

Because each dog is custom-made from your personal materials, the finished appearance will vary.
